The two high-rise housing complexes of Pöllösenhaka Housing Inc. were one of the most typical of
Stonel OY’s projects. The facades were fitted with a curtainwall by Stonel, getting an extra layer
of thermal insulation in the process.
Additional insulation was installed, and then the façade was finished with brickface and sheet metal
cassette paneling.

This picture shows one of the buildings owned by Pöllösenhaka Housing Inc. This building is a
Typical example of one that was built with the so-called “sandwich technique”.

The sheet metal cassettes have also been installed. The same Stofix mounting system has been used for
both the brick and sheet metal cassettes.

The endwalls were straightened out and had additional insulation installed. The mortar seams are
still unfilled and will be grouted later.

The long facade is almost finished.
